Brand Intelligence Intern

Job Description


Reporting to the Manager – Threat Intelligence Services, the Brand Intelligence Intern is responsible for determining whether a site is a credential phishing page and to label which brands were spoofed.



Primary responsibilities:


  • Use of an internal web application and a virtual machine to determine whether a site was a credential phishing page
  • Label which brands were spoofed.
  • Use of MS Office products Word and Excel, Google Search, VMWare, and IBM i2 Analysts Notebook
  • Investigate phishing sites and write short analyses.
  • Help with updating procedures for the group
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Coursework in or volunteer exposure to open source intelligence methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team
  • Strong interest in fraud analysis

 Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience with MS Office products Word and Excel
  • Enrolled in a Criminal Justice or Computer Science college program, preferred

Position Highlights:

  • This is a paid internship: $15 per hour.
  • The internship runs from May 21st - August 3rd.
  • You will not be asked to work more than 29 hours per week.
  • We will have outside activities and fun events.
